Fiona Millar has been described (by Tom Bower in the Times) as an ‘educational Stalinist’. Why? Because she believes in the comprehensive ideal and thinks that it has been betrayed by wet, frightened, and ignorant middle class parents. Is she right?
In this programme, Fiona tests her beliefs by going back to the fundamental question that parents will always ask themselves: what is, the best for my child?
